Many of Sydney's unit blocks were built in the 1960's, when there was a huge demand for housing to accommodate the influx of migrants. The letterboxes used in these blocks were suitable at the time when there was generally less mail, but many of these were built with brittle alloy fronts and an asbestos sleeve within, "I don't think I have to go into the problems discovered over the last few years in regards to asbestos!"
